Bio.: This is the part where Trishna spills her life story! Nah just playin, but really, it all started when she was 7, when she started singing and performing. The first song she technically ever sang was “Day-Oh (The Banana Boat Song)” by Harry Belafonte when she was 2, but no one wants to count their first step towards stardom in diapers and a plastic guitar. Since her childhood, singing songs and expressing herself on stage was Trishna’s way of “writing in a journal and telling stories and parts of myself in every song I sang”.

Genre: Hip Hop / Rap, Urban
Influenced By: Outkast, Killer Mike, Eminem, Nas, Bob Marley
Bio: It may have seemed like a lofty goal for an independent rapper to get Lil Scrappy and Iam of Soul Mafia on his first single. “Slo-Mo and Mic Wrecka have managed a synthesis of two very unlikely elements; the often slow paced, smooth sound of the slide steel guitar so popular in blues and country music with the dynamic rhythms and faster paced sounds of today’s urban and Hip-Hop music. This has resulted in a unique and pleasing sound which has to be heard to be believed!” Editor: Gulf Coast Music Review

“If you have not had a chance to check out the correctness known as Farrad, then take a peek…he is definitely one to watch and if you don’t find yourself busting a move while listening to this you must have a giant stick shoved sideways up you’re a**. TRUST.” (Walt Cessna, contributor to BlackBook & A Shaded View On Fashion)
Farrad debuted tracks off his debut album, The Time Is Now at Santos Party House in NYC in 2009 and it’s been an upward trajectory ever since. The project is receiving such great response that Bunim/Murray Productions licensed his entire album for shows including: MTV’s Real World, Road Rules, Extreme Challenge & The Stylist; E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians & Khloe and Kourt Go To Miami; and Bad Girls Club on Oxygen.
Farrad’s powerful first single “Pick Your Face Up Off The Floor” inspired world-class talent to contribute to the accompanying video: Director Greg Haggart and Ann Gilbertson (producer of music videos and concert footage for acts such as Rolling Stones, Michael & Janet Jackson, David Bowie and Nine Inch Nails), partnered with Farrad to realize a post-apocalyptic vision of man vs. machine. Hot designer SoHung Tong (creator of unique looks for Beyonce and Fergie) customized a must-see piece, and motor-cross world record breaker, Shane San Miguel, lent his skills as the musical short’s daredevil nemesis.
