Breaking News!: NY-based Jamaican singer Nando is fuming at Tiger Woods. Woods’ divorce has messed up the ending of the video for Nando’s blossoming hit song, Look at All These Girls, which is gathering momentum on radio and video channels and is getting a growing following on the internet as well, and Nando believes Woods may not have done enough to salvage his marriage and to keep his family intact.

Nando related that he and the team at Heart to Art Music heavily debated possible endings for the video of Look at All These Girls. Some members of the team, in line with public sentiment at the time, wanted to see Tiger burn; however, other team members argued for a positive resolution to the messy affair. The dissenting voices, citing possible adverse impact on the Woods’ children from a breakup of the marriage and hoping that the principles of forgiveness and reformation would triumph over vindictiveness and negative public opinion, argued for the current “lived-happily-ever-after” ending. With the Woods’ divorce now finalized, Nando is regretting not having applied “more fire” to Tiger in the video. According to Nando, who actually played the role of Tiger in the video, Tiger’s failure to win a PGA golf tournament since the revelations of his numerous infidelities is evidence that “the girls on the side done salt-up Tiger, and, given that they had salted him up, we should have just cooked him fully in the video.”

Icebreaker(The Single) by Trishna Amin, 2010

Home Base: Franklin Park, NJ

Genre: Pop, Rock, R&B, Reggae, Hip Hop / Rap

Compared To: Selena, Shakira, Beyonce Knowles, MIA, Celine Dion

Influenced By: Selena, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Red Hot Chili Peppers

Bio.: This is the part where Trishna spills her life story! Nah just playin, but really, it all started when she was 7, when she started singing and performing. The first song she technically ever sang was “Day-Oh (The Banana Boat Song)” by Harry Belafonte when she was 2, but no one wants to count their first step towards stardom in diapers and a plastic guitar. Since her childhood, singing songs and expressing herself on stage was Trishna’s way of “writing in a journal and telling stories and parts of myself in every song I sang”.

Home Base: New York, NY

Genre: Pop, Rock, Singer/Songwriter

Compared To: Alicia Keys, Cyndi Lauper, Bee Gees, Matchbox Twenty, OneRepublic

Influenced By: Annie Lennox, Madonna, Elton John, Eminem, Mozart, Michael Jackson

Bio.: A classically trained pianist who remains one of the youngest vocal soloists ever to perform with the Russian Philharmonic, New York-based singer-songwriter Katia has a pop music style as unique as her background. Songs like her debut single “Girl Like Me” reveal her classical melodicism within a pure pop context, in which her lyrics-about the “day-to-day stuff that girls go through,” she says in typically engaging perfect English-are nailed by her beautiful but insistent singing voice.

The Time Is Now By Farrad, 2009

Home Base: New York, NY

Genre: Pop, Funk, Dance

Compared To: Prince, Justin Timberlake, Andre 3000, Beyonce Knowles

Influenced By: Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, David Bowie, Mick Jagger

Bio: Farrad’s “Pick Your Face Up Off The Floor” was added to the Logo Network programming lineup starting Tuesday, April 6th!

“If you have not had a chance to check out the correctness known as Farrad, then take a peek…he is definitely one to watch and if you don’t find yourself busting a move while listening to this you must have a giant stick shoved sideways up you’re a**. TRUST.” (Walt Cessna, contributor to BlackBook & A Shaded View On Fashion)

Farrad debuted tracks off his debut album, The Time Is Now at Santos Party House in NYC in 2009 and it’s been an upward trajectory ever since. The project is receiving such great response that Bunim/Murray Productions licensed his entire album for shows including: MTV’s Real World, Road Rules, Extreme Challenge & The Stylist; E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians & Khloe and Kourt Go To Miami; and Bad Girls Club on Oxygen.

Farrad’s powerful first single “Pick Your Face Up Off The Floor” inspired world-class talent to contribute to the accompanying video: Director Greg Haggart and Ann Gilbertson (producer of music videos and concert footage for acts such as Rolling Stones, Michael & Janet Jackson, David Bowie and Nine Inch Nails), partnered with Farrad to realize a post-apocalyptic vision of man vs. machine. Hot designer SoHung Tong (creator of unique looks for Beyonce and Fergie) customized a must-see piece, and motor-cross world record breaker, Shane San Miguel, lent his skills as the musical short’s daredevil nemesis.
