Kae’s biography opens with this quote:

“Music is everybody’s possession.
It’s only publishers who think that people own it.” (John Lennon)

Kae is a singer with a unique, alternative music style. Her music is created by the Silent Project Cooperation – Alex Elzer and Korine (Kae) Varekamp which started mid-2008.

The music of Kae is very dynamic and has influences of Portishead (downtempo), Morrissey (britpop) and Velvet Underground (alternative rock). The lyrics are realistic, profound, gloomy and often cynical inspired by daily situations. Hell and Silence EP by Imagine Dragons, 2010

Imagine Dragons

Website: Imagine Dragons Music

Home Base: Las Vegas, NV

Genre: Pop, Rock, Alternative, Indie

Compared To: The Killers, Arcade Fire, Passion Pit, Phoenix, Muse

Influenced By: U2, The Killers, The Beatles, Coldplay, Muse

Bio.: Combining synth-laden rock and infectious dance grooves, Imagine Dragons comes off both anthemic and eccentric. By way of Vegas, the quintet brings the restless energy of “the city that never sleeps” to the masses with its 2010 sophomore EP “Hell and Silence.” A short, yet impressive history includes sharing the stage with indie notables Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Nico Vega and The Envy Corps and opening for mainstream acts such as Blue October, Jet, and Kelly Clarkson.

Water On The Moon by Crazy Mary, 2009

Crazy Mary

Website: Crazy Mary

Home Base: New York, NY

Genre: Rock, Alternative, ProgRock, Underground

Compared To: The Rolling Stones , Jefferson Airplane, The Velvet Underground, The Mekons, The Doors, Zappa, Blondie, The Cramps

Influenced By: The Rolling Stones , Jefferson Airplane, The Clash, The Velvet Underground

Bio.: Anyone who experienced New York’s gritty, exciting, and gloriously vibrant music scene in the 1970s, ’80s, or ’90s will tell you the same thing: Their city is gone. Wiped out by a Stalin-esque, Disney-driven coup and replaced with a staid world of theme restaurants and karaoke bars. It’s as if when the soul was sucked out of Manhattan by real estate developers the music went along with it. Or so it would seem, however, until you’ve heard the music of New York band Crazy Mary.
