Bio: Fresh from art school Haidée Augusta began her career in 2006 making records with collaborators such as Edward Upton(ED DMX).
Lady Haidee sites nature, Pre-Raphaelites, the animal kingdom, dark fairy tales, ghost stories and the human spirit as the inspiration for her music making; other more musical influences are that of Air, Serge Gainsbourg, Bernard Herman to name but a few.
In 2008 she funded her budget for debut album ‘Feral’ through 300 of her fans and released through a distributor named Sellaband. The album ‘Feral’ features 10 songs and has a very limited release from 8th September but is also released digitally on a majority of on line stores.

Since making FERAL she has gone on to work with producer Paul Reeve (Muse / Beta Band) who co-produced two singles “Fashion Slave” and ”Asexual” which were produced in 2009.
Through various sites such as Myspace and other alternative music sites she has around 14000 fans and friends worldwide growing daily.

Alternate Bio.: Description: Raised by cats and wolves, Haidée exhibits many of the characteristics of the animals who raised her. She lapped at her food from a bowl on the floor and has never learned how to use cutlery. She prefers crawling on the floor over walking on her two legs. Haidée’s cheeks seemed sunken; her eyes were lost; she stared into the square of sunlight, then slipped away. She communicates using what police are calling “animal language only, and appears to mimic the behaviour of animals. She spits and scratches if she gets upset. When they gave her a doll she bit off its hands. Alone with dusty furniture, she lives with cats, cobwebs spiders, wolves and mice. When visitors came thinking she wanted to play she scares them away with lullabies and songs. Luckily these songs have been recorded, the 10 song album is called ‘Feral’.

My Review: FeraL is a collection of “dark”, semi-Goth, fantasy/fairytale inspired music. FeraL gives us a glimpse beyond the veil, into that hidden world which most of us never see, but some how know exists. Through FeraL, Lady H gives an approving “wink” to our alter egos and “peculiar” habits while gently chiding us for our fears.

The music itself is just “off-center” enough to lend a “other worldly” feel, but is still upbeat and fast paced enough to hold your interest. It’s really quite hard to describe.

Lady Haidee’s hauntingly sexy, enchantingly beautiful, yet strangely soothing, voice allows you to explore the “dark side”, more with a feeling of wonder than of dread.

I can’t guarantee this will work for you, but, if you are so inclined, you might try burning incense composed of 2 parts Sandalwood, 1 part Rose, 1 part Camphor, a few drops Tuberose oil and a few drops Jasmine oil, or, at the least, some good quality sandalwood incense, laying back, relaxing and listening to FeraL. The results might be surprising!

If you’ve ever felt you are just a “visitor” to this world, are more comfortable by moonlight than sunlight, have a strange desire to flit through the air like a bat, or just want something different, try FeraL! I give it a 9 out of 10 and a thumbs up!

Here are tracks 3, 4 and 5 from FeraL. After that is a video of Lady H preforming one of her latest hits, “Fashion Slave” which features Spooky, the cat!
